I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Michigan, where I study Physics Education Research. In my current position, I’ve been working on improving the physics undergraduate lab curriculum, with a particular emphasis on the integration of computation. My research focuses on the types of knowledge that instructors need to have to integrate computation–and technology in general–into the way that they teach.
I earned my Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Michigan State University in 2017. I decided to make the transition to Physics Education Research because, while I love astrophysics, I’ve found greater joy in making physics accessible to everyone.
